April 25

Pre:warning: forgive me, I'm using old facebook posts for my timeline and to know what happened.

April 25 came like any other day. Even though I was to take the day off, I needed to make sure our internet at the vet clinic was up and running. My boss and the founder of our clinic was out of state to speak at a conference, so I wanted to make sure everything was okay at work. I dropped our youngest off at school and headed to the clinic. I spent about 2 hours there then headed home.

It was just me and the dogs all day. I'm sure I was lazy for a good part of it, productive for a good part of it and I know that I did a workout that morning- because that's what I assume triggered the next moments.

Late afternoon, I jumped in the shower. All the guys would be home soon, so it was a good time to do so. Towards the end of my shower, I felt a terrible pain in my side...almost like a muscle cramp. I got out of the shower (assuming the work out did it's job and I'm more out of shape than I thought!) I get to our bedroom and am trying to get dressed, but the pain isn't letting up and I just can't. I sit there for a bit, curled up trying to get the pain to ease. My husband comes in and I let him know I'm hurting pretty bad. I think I'm just wrapped in a towel at this point. He goes out to do a few things around the house and comes back about an hour later to check on me (I'm sure he thought I laid down to sleep it off). When he came in, I had thrown the towel off of me, had a fan directly in front of me and couldn't cool down. I was sweating. Obviously, he took alarm and asked me if he should call and ambulance. I said, "No, but we need to go to the hospital." I think he looked at me like "WHAT" for a second because those aren't words I utter. Haha. I somehow managed to put clothes on (I'm sure he helped me) and to the ER, we rushed.

I do remember the ride there and going in. I remember my husband and niece being there and her communicating with some of my family. I remember saying it isn't anything. I remember the nurses needing me to urinate in a cup and saying, "no problem- I pee about 50 times a night" and then trying to pee and not being able to. I remember coming back to the room and looking at my niece and saying, "Kels, I couldn't pee- that's not normal for me" and seeing sheer panic hit her face. I remember telling my niece to tell my sister and my dad not to worry about it until we know something and her telling me that my dad doesn't care and he's coming up there. Woah. I remember one of our friends, Trena, bringing Anibal some dinner (thank God for that!)
